Optometry

Dr. Michael Kelleman, OD, FAAO, is an experienced optometrist and Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, bringing a strong foundation in clinical care and ocular disease management to his practice. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry, Cellular, and Molecular Biology from the University of Scranton before completing his Doctor of Optometry at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University.

Dr. Kelleman is board certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and holds a Connecticut Optometry License with Advanced Optometric Care certification. His fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry reflects his commitment to clinical excellence and ongoing professional development.

Since 2022, Dr. Kelleman has served patients at Charter Oak’s Optometry Clinic on Tuesdays, providing comprehensive eye care and managing a wide range of ocular conditions for individuals of all ages.

For patients that require optometry care, we provide a referral for the following services: 

  • Comprehensive dilated health evaluation of the eye
  • Determination of glasses prescription
  • Diabetic eye exams
  • Emergency eye care
  • Diagnosis of diabetic eye disease, cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration
  • Appropriate referrals to specialized ophthalmologists for the treatment and management of ocular disease, including cataracts, glaucoma and retinal disease
